There are strict rules on what you can and can't carry in your hand baggage on an aircraft. This includes dangerous and restricted items. Other restrictions may be in place, so contact your airline directly if you have any questions.
Size and Type of Hand Luggage
Check the size limits of cabin luggage with your airline before you travel. The average size for cabin luggage is 55cm x 35cm x 25cm (22in x 14in x 9in).
Airlines will also have individual rules about the number of bags allowed in the cabin.
Verify if there is a weight limit for your hand luggage, as each airline has its own policy regarding this.
